Employee Engagement with Indian Head Workforce
[Indian Head, Maryland] – This past July, Cruz corporate staff held a luncheon for the Indian Head workforce. We recognize the hard work and dedication that these employee show our customer. We honored several employees for their length of service and outstanding work. Robert Clements was recognized for 15 years of service and dedication to Cruz. Jack Ellis and Ibrahim Sesay were recognized for their five years of service. We also recognized Houghton Air for their outstanding teamwork with Cruz.
Cruz Sponsors Folds of Honor
[Yorktown, Virginia] – Cruz Associates continued its association with Folds of Honor at their 2023 Military Appreciation Golf Tournament. Folds of Honor provides scholarships to spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service members. Cruz Receives 4th Platinum HIRE Vets Medallion Award
November 8, 2023 – U.S. Secretary of Labor has again recognized Cruz Associates, Inc. (CAI), as a Platinum HIRE Vets Medallion Award winner. The Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans Act (HIRE Vets Act) Medallion Program is the only federal award program that recognizes job creators who successfully recruit, hire, and retain veterans.
CAI joins 859 other companies from across the country who have shown a commitment to hiring veterans, but also ensuring that they have a long-term career and growth plan that uses the diverse skills they acquired through their military service.
This is CAI’s forth consecutive platinum award.
Veterans Art Show
[Yorktown, Virginia] – A frequent supporter of veterans’ activities, Cruz Associates recently sponsored the Fifth Annual Veterans Art Show which was held by On the Hill Gallery and the Yorktown Arts Foundation. The event showcased artwork from active duty and those who have served in the military in a juried show with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners recognized with awards. Categories included two and three dimensional art and photography. There was no entry fee and participants did not need to be gallery or art foundation members.
