Administrative Assistant

Scope: This position will work closely with training staff and students to maintain and manage the document resources for the Enlisted Training Coordinator. Assignments for this position require the ability to work with little supervision. Duties include data entry, filing and other clerical duties. Position requires a reliable, friendly person with attention to detail and a demonstrated ability in the operation of Microsoft Office 2010 (Word, Excel and Access).

Responsibilities: (Not all encompassing)

  • In-process all incoming student Soldiers for Enlisted Combat Skills including data input into the Combat Skills database. Ensure the timely and accurate transmission of all required notifications to the Battalion S-1 and other Regimental support sections.
  • Create and maintain student personnel files including retrieval of personnel information through multiple databases including EDAS and eMILPO.
  • Responsible for assisting the Enlisted Training Coordinator (ETC) in the administrative transfer of students from the Assessment Platoon into EGP, specifically the Day minus one roster verification.
  • Assists CO, 1SG, and Assessment Platoon NCOIC as needed in any duties assigned in administrative support of students.
  • Assist the ETC with all admin phase briefings and ensures proper coordination with all briefers.
  • Responsible for maintaining the Assessment Platoon in-processing office in good order and the inventory and re-ordering of all required documents.
  • Responsible for assisting the Reassignment Platoon Sergeant in the process of transmitting and requesting of Soldier reassignment orders and associated administrative actions.
  • Out-process Soldier releases and forward all documentation to the Battalion S-1.
  • Resolve and process Soldier financial or personnel actions for all Soldiers assigned to Assessment Platoon, Reassignments or Awaiting Chapter including making distribution runs to the Ft. Campbell main finance office.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalency is required
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 2010 required
  • Secret or Interim Secret security clearance is required (must be a US citizen, be in good standing financially with the IRS, and maintain a clean criminal background)
