This position will be fulltime (40 hrs. weekly) Technician shall be subject to physical examinations and certification requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Will perform a variety of duties that include decontamination of facilities and demilitarization of ordnance and ordnance equipment
  • Responsible for inspection of contaminated facilities and equipment
  • Understanding and utilizing hazardous waste practices
  • Maintain records of work within facilities following strict hazardous property disposal
  • Operation of decontamination equipment following standard disposal practices
  • Use of equipment including forklifts, trucks, and lifting equipment

 

Education and Experience – Required:

  • 7 years’ experience directly related to explosives/energetics decontamination, demilitarization, and demolition
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
  • Ability to pass Ammo-18 Certification class
  • Ability to pass HAZWOPER Certification class
  • Strongly desired to have state issued CDL with HAZMAT endorsement
  • Ability to work with automated computer systems
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel, both military and private industry

      Joint Base Langley Eustis (JBLE), Virginia

Scope:  Provide electrical engineering analysis and support services for multiple Army and Special Operations aircraft and their associated mission equipment.  Successful performance requires knowledge of aircraft and component level design, qualification and testing specifications and methods and airworthiness requirements.  Areas of focus include system electrical design support; instrumentation electrical design; electrical loads analysis (ELA) of new systems, instrumentation, electrical testing (EMC/EMI) support; laboratory/bench test development and testing; producing ELA reports suitable for airworthiness approval; and supporting flight testing by developing instrumentation plans and interpreting flight test data.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop multiple ELA reports and flight test instrumentation plans for multiple aircraft projects
  • Evaluate electrical systems and products by designing and conducting research programs
  • Apply knowledge of electrical theory and materials
  • Confirm system and product specifications by designing feasibility and testing methods
  • Ensure system and product quality by evaluating testing methods; by testing finished- product and system capabilities; and by confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes
  • Perform engineering design evaluations
  • Identify and assist with documentation of functional requirements for assigned projects
  • Analyze research and development plans
  • Conduct research for system-related information as directed
  • Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and briefings
  • Identify potential risks and appropriate courses of action should technical issues arise, or user requirements change.

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Parametric Technology Pro-Engineer/CREO CAD software
  • Working knowledge of the Army’s airworthiness processes

  • Run Forklift and explosive transport vehicles

Education and Experience Requirements:

Scope of Performance: Provide engineering support to SIMO’s primary areas of emphasis include A/MH-6, MH- 47, MH-60, MQ-1, Avionics, Sensors, ASE, and Weapon programs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop test plans, coordinate test activities to include test range scheduling and planning, data collection and processing.
  • Apply and administrate the requirements of AR 70-62 as they apply to Army Special Operations Aircraft.
  • Participate as a member of Technical Interface Meetings (TIM), Program Reviews, Test Integration Working Groups (TIWG), and System Safety Working Groups (SSWG).
  • Participate in aerial flight in a Flight Test Engineering capacity.
  • Work closely with engineering counterparts, to include, but not limited to the Aviation Engineering Directorate (AED), and Technology Application Program Office (TAPO).
  • Perform routine clerical, administrative, and logistics tasks as required in support of the SIMO.

 

Education and Experience-Required

  • Possesses a Secret or Interim Secret security clearance.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience working in military/commercial aviation.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with planning and conducting flight tests.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field.
  • At least 3 years’ exposure to the Defense Acquisition process.
