Scope of Performance: Qualified pipefitter to support maintenance, repair, and installation of explosive and chemical processing equipment. Technician will work in all explosive and chemical processing areas as determined by management or COR.  Technician shall be subject to physical examinations and certification requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tasks may include but are not limited to routine maintenance, repair, installation and modification to existing or new processing equipment. This work includes hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronics, pipe fitting, and steam fitting.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, modify, and conduct preventative maintenance on complex electrical, mechanical, and processing systems.
  • Assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems. This could include pipe support systems.
  • Ability to use pipe threaders, benders, machine tools, and general hand tools.
  • Ability to braze, solder and thread joints.
  • Ability to read blueprints and blueprint symbols.
  • Technician may be required to execute written maintenance procedures and document work completed on record sheets to be archived in data base.

 

Education and Experience – Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
  • Ability to pass Explosives Handler physical and Respirator Fit test
  • Ability to pass Ammo-18 Certification class
  • Sound technical skills

Scope of Performance: Provides subject matter expertise to the Technical Analyst Group (TAG) for SOA-peculiar aircraft technical analysis, to include developing system/sub-system level functional diagrams. Conduct troubleshooting of aircraft avionics, communications, navigation, electrical, sensors, electronic countermeasures, flight control, power train control/indication, power plant, weapon systems, and aircraft systems/sub-system, both on and off aircraft.   • Provide technical, analytical, and systems diagnostic support for SOA MH-47, MH-60, and A/MH-6 helicopters, support systems, and unmanned aerial systems.
  • Provide troubleshooting and maintenance technical services to resolve problems encountered during the development, integration, fielding, operations and sustainment of all aircraft and equipment operated by the ARSOAC.
  • Provide technical support to resolve Unit-level technical issues to include on-aircraft and off-aircraft equipment troubleshooting, technical manual interpretation, establishing repair limits and techniques, writing, validating and verifying MOCs, FIPs, and Technical manuals.
  • Provide on and off aircraft and equipment technical investigations and analysis to determine the cause of reported abnormal symptoms or undesirable performance and provide recommendations to eliminate, correct, or preclude reoccurrence of reported deficiencies.
  • Suggest appropriate courses of action should technical problems arise or user requirements change.
  • Sub-systems training as required.
  • Provide supervisory management, overall guidance, instruction, and management for the TAG.
  • Organize and direct the use of the team complement to ensure that all assigned tasks are completed.
  • Perform routine clerical, administrative, and logistics tasks as required in support of the AMSO.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Computer Aided Architecture Design (CAAD) equipment/programs and its functional capabilities.
